The Pleistocene deposits of Wisconsin consist of a complex sequence of deposits differing in origin, age, lithology, thickness, and extent. The Lexicon of Pleistocene Stratigraphic Units of Wisconsin defines 15 formations and their 48 members. This book marks the first update since 1988, with major additions and revisions to the original lithostratigraphic classification of deposits.
This 180-page book contains over 100 color maps, photographs, and figures as well as an extensive list of references. The printed version ($65.00) is beautifully bound and printed in color on high-quality paper. We're also making the Lexicon available as a free searchable PDF, in its entirety and by chapter.
