Geneva Lake area groundwater model

A groundwater flow model of the Geneva Lake area in Walworth County is now available. The model is a powerful tool to investigate surface water–groundwater interactions in the vicinity of the lake. Concerned citizens and local officials can use model results to understand, manage, and preserve water resources in the region. The model provides answers to questions such as: How much groundwater flows into and out of Geneva Lake? What is the effect of current pumping on the lake and nearby streams? What will happen to the lake if pumping increases or if there is a drought?
