Rhabdophane Group (Nd,Ce,La)PO4.H2O Hexagonal

Rhabdophane refers to a group of is a rare earth phosphate minerals generally found in complex pegmatites.

MARATHON COUNTY: Rhabdophane occurs in the Wimmer Pit #3, south of Rib Mountain. Rhabdophane-Ce is found at the Koss Pit several miles further west. (Buchholz, Falster and Simmons, 1999, Buchholz and Simmons, 2002). a rhabdophane group mineral also occurs at the Ladick Quarry (sec. 19 and 20 T. 27N. R.6E.) (Buchholz and Simons, 2002).
