Pyrargyrite Ag3SbS3 Hexagonal
Description: Pyrargyrite is a deep red to nearly black mineral found in hydrothermal veins often associated with other silver minerals, galena, pyrite and quartz.
ONEIDA COUNTY: Pyrarygyrite occurs at the Lynn massive sulfide deposit, in Lynn township in the SW part of the county. It has so far been recovered only in drill core, where it is associated with silver, acanthite, tetrahedrite and many other minerals. (Kennedy et. al., 1991).
