Synchysite = Ca(Ce,La,Nd)(CO3)2F2 Orthorhombic
Description: Parisite and synchysite are rare earth carbonates found in pegmatitic granites, syenites and carbonatites.
MARATHON COUNTY: Parisite/synchisite was tentatively identifed at the Wimmer #3 Pit, a "rotten granite" quarry several miles west of Wausau. (Tom Buchholz, pers. com.)
