LAVENITE (Na,Ca)3ZrSi2O7(O,OH,F)2 MONOCLINIC

Description: Lavenite is a very rare mineral found in low silica pegmatitic igneous rocks.

MARATHON COUNTY: Lavenite reportedly occurs in nepheline syenite in a quarry and nearby outcrop in the NE sec. 27 T.29N. R.6E. (Weidman, 1907; Vickers, 1956).
